Well heeled: Tranny Boot Camp in Dalston

Tranny Boot Camp

We’ve spotted a trend occurring in the London club scene. The more conservative among you may not yet have noticed, but across the capital it’s becoming a well-practiced phenomenon. Literally. Enter Drag Queen dance classes and workouts. Why just go out and dance when you can live out your 80’s Jane Fonda workout video fantasies and burn a few calories while you are at it? Back in January, the Blogmistress donned her heels and braved the lunges of the fabulous Globe Girls at a drag dance class at Floridita in Soho. Now, Tranny Boot Camp comes to Dalston’s Vogue Fabrics this evening for a night of aerobic entertainment. Don’t worry, you don’t need to drag up, but spandex is encouraged, obviously. However, none of this is news to dance party maniacs Sink the Pink who have been dressing up and giving it their all for the last 4 years. If you can’t face the work out tonight, limber up for Sink the Pink’s birthday party this Saturday night at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club.

Find or info, see the Tranny Boot Camp Facebook page and sinkthepinklondon.com.
