Maltby Street divides and conquers

Maltby Street

What started as a splinter group from Borough Market didn’t take long to become a popular destination for a food-fuelled amble on a Saturday morning. With respected food and drink operations such as Monmouth Coffee, Neal’s Yard Dairy, Kernel Brewery and St John Bakery (with their much lauded doughnuts) on board, this is hardly surprising. Two years on, many more traders have moved into the area, plus a full-on street market with pop-up eateries and bars. As the market’s grown legs, however, some of them have wandered down the road to Spa Terminus. Yes, there’s a splinter group of the splinter group. Celia Plender
