As well as being Chocolate and Cocktail week, it’s also the cuter (but less tasty) Guide Dog Week. This celebration of animal brilliance hopes to raise awareness of the work done by both The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the guide dogs themselves. And what better way to learn all about it than to give it a go? From 11am-2pm on Tuesday October 9, they’re hosting a special event at Euston station, offering passers by a chance to ‘commute a mile in my shoes’ by allowing themselves to be blindfolded and guided around the station concourse to experience what life is like for a blind or partially sighted person in a busy area. There are prizes are on offer, not to mention the chance to meet loads of lovely guide dogs. Victoria Gray
