It’s only 9 days until this year’s Twin Peaks Film Festival at Riverside Studios, another chance for dedicated fans of David Lynch’s groundbreaking TV serial to express their geeky love with a full day of screenings, activities and cast interview. This year marks the 20th anniversary of David Lynch’s magnificent movie prequel ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me’, a film which, despite initial critical dismissal (from this very mag, among many others), has been building quite a reputation in recent years: just check out Mark Kermode’s gushing YouTube tribute.
This year’s festival attendees will see a gorgeous 35mm print of the film, along with a handful of classic TV episodes on October 20. More excitingly, they’ll also get the chance to meet cast members from the show, including Catherine Coulson, who played the legendary Log Lady, Lenny Von Dohlen who played Harold Smith (and also appeared in the classic ’80s computer romp ‘Electric Dreams’, kitsch fans), and Phoebe Augustine, whose appearance as the traumatised Ronette Pulaski, wandering across a railway bridge in a bloody nightgown, produced one of the show’s most iconic images. There will also be a costume competition, a quiz and lashings of cherry pie, coffee and donuts. Tom Huddleston
