Delicious dissection: curators get cut up at Frieze
Think Frieze Art Fair is just a bunch of corporate art posturing? Think again. This year, the fair is taking no prisoners, literally. Yesterday saw a live dissection, disembowlling and eating of a curator. Alright, he was made out of cake, but Bedwyr Williams’ performance, as part of the Grizedale Arts collaboration with the Frieze Foundation on the ‘Colisseum of the Consumed’ programme, which involves food-related performance, discussion and stalls, was still fairly vom-inducing. Good to see that art can still produce a violent reaction. Victoria Gray
