Join a uke-ular family: take part in a Ukulele Flash Mob

Posted at 2:00 pm, October 17, 2012 in Fun London

Ukuleles are well trendy now, aren’t they? Everywhere you look, someone’s playing a tiny guitar. Ukulele versions of loads of songs have taken YouTube by storm recently, and it’s only right that these sorts of things take to the streets. And so we present, the Ukulele flash mob. This evening (October 17), at 6.02pm by Waterloo station, they’ll descend, play a song, and then leave. Organised by the guys behind Ukulele Wednesdays, previous flash mobs have been a hit, and they’re expanding with every session, and now looking for more uke-ers to join, so if you’ve ever fancied planning a tiny four stringed instrument that is possibly more suited to a child to a crowd of confused commuters, this is your chance. Victoria Gray
