The Man Booker Prize might have got you all excited about new writing, but did you feel involved enough? Getting new books published just isn’t a party without a crowd’s vote, and this is exactly what the Unbound Live event tonight (October 22) at The Tabernacle is all about. Picture a literary Dragons’ Den, where authors pitch a book in public, and you pick whether you’re ‘in’ or not. But how? A £20 ticket for the event includes £10 of funding towards a book, which you will use to vote for your favourite of eight authors, including Katy Brand, Tamasin Day-Lewis and Red Dwarf star Robert Llewellyn. The book that receives the amount of funding it needs will be published, and those who funded it will have their names printed in a special first edition. This is your chance to change print history. Maybe. Victoria Gray
