Twisting Tongues

With around 300 languages spoken in the capital, London is no stranger to a mix of words being heard all over the place, but tonight, word play becomes a sport. At new event Twisting Tongues, six London wordsmiths – including a beat boxer, a magician, a rapper, and a hip-hop artist take on a series of challenges in a series of knockout wordplay games, with the audience deciding who will be eliminated. Tonight, David J The Vocal Pugilist is the featured guest poet at Apres London, for what should be a highly entertaining series of spoken word shenanigans. Possibly helped by the fact that the £6.50 ticket includes a free drink, the whole thing will be over before you can say Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Victoria Gray
