Followers of US politics rejoice! You needn’t spend all Election Night (Tuesday Nov 6) alone in your living room, streaming CNN and madly refreshing thirty-seven different liveblogs.
Instead, you can watch the votes come in at Redhook‘s Election Night Party in Farringdon. The American bar and restaurant will be accommodating 200 guests, and providing all-you-can-eat ribs, endless beer and coffee, cocktails and even breakfast if you’re still going at dawn… and last year, they gamely carried on until 6am.
Tickets are £65 (not exactly for the 47%, then) but it’s a pretty decent menu of freebies (see the full invite) and promises oodles of like-minded company to boot.
Sold out – but check @redhooklondon for availability of last-minute cancellations.
They promise that festivities will continue ‘until the final results come in.’ There’s no cover charge, but with pints costing £6, you’d better hope Ohio gets called earlier rather than later. Details here.
Perhaps you’d rather laugh at the campaigns’ gaffes rather than cry over Romney’s 0.9% edge in polling?
Then head to Soho Theatre on the Monday (Nov 5) to see Rich Fulcher, Tony Law and Hadley Freeman take a comic look back over 2012’s race for the Presidency.
Tickets are £10 from sohotheatre.com.
