Smarty Pants

Not content with just publicising your heartbreak via over-emotional Facebook statuses and tweets? A new exhibition coming to the Smarty Pants Laundrette on Bethnal Green Road is looking for submissions of the brighter side of grief, jealousy, infidelity and sorrow, attempting to create a lighthearted refuge for the heartbroken of east London. Pamphlet, in association with charity Art Against Knives, are currently looking for submissions to go alongside a permanent exhibition which will feature famous works of ‘art-break’ by Hockney, Vermeer and Van Gogh, similar to the popular Museum of Broken Relationships exhibition that popped up in Covent Garden last year. So if you’re feeling creative or heartbroken (or both), outpour your relationship misery here.

Email sienna@pmphlt.com by November 5 for more info and how to get involved.
