If you’re really into doing stuff in an alternative way, celebrating Bonfire Night ten days late is a fairly good start, but how about mixing it up and walking on hot coals instead of watching some fireworks? London Zoo are holding a firewalk on Thursday 15 November to raise money for Zoological Society of London’s tiger conservation project, Sumatran and are proposing this as an alternative to Bonfire Night, offering the chance to be trained by a Fire Master to walk across the embers, at a Nothing Is Impossible seminar, and then literally proving the commonly said phrase ‘I’d walk across hot coals (for tigers)’. Friends and family are invited to watch, and food will be available throughout the evening. Tickets are available now, so prepare the soles of your feet/paw pads.
