We all love animals, right? From the playful puppy to the charismatic cat to the more exotic variety, most of us have got a favourite, and many of us pride ourselves on being ‘animal people’. But is this a love born of mutual respect? Four photographers aim to challenge the relationships we have with animals at the ‘For Our Pleasure?’ exhibition at the Hackney Picturehouse Cinema. The group photography and taxidermy show explores the world of zoos, food production and the elite of the pet world, Crufts, examining human interaction and exploitation of animals. The show is part of Photomonth and will be open until November 28 with a panel discussion this Sunday (November 18). Carly-Ann Clements
