The Abbey Tavern in Kentish Town has had little bit of a refurb. It’s also got a new chef in residence, called – you guessed – Farmer Tom. Tom Jones (no, not that one) and his family raise sheep on the Welsh borders. Their neighbours raise pigs and cattle. Those extraordinary meats, all from native breeds and all of the highest quality, are cooked with exceptional skill, served in huge portions, and sold at absurdly low prices at this boozer.
