Ditch any ironic Santa ear-muffs in favour of chunky headphones this weekend, as Spitalfields hosts the annual Christmas Independent Label Market this weekend (Dec 1, 11am-5pm, Dec 2, 10am-5pm). Sponsored by The Association of Independent Music, the market looks to be the perfect source of niche aural goodies in time for Christmas: tote bags and baked goods will be on offer, alongside more stereotypical musical fare with vinyl and CDs from over fifty labels, including Moshi Moshi, Rough Trade and newcomers like No Pain In Pop. We’re told the label heads themselves will be donning bum bags and serving punters, making this the perfect opportunity to ask burning questions. What’s more, label-exclusives and market-only goodies should be available and there are even some exclusive performances promised… Adam Bloodworth
