Home is not always where the heart is and more often than not, a big chunk of your love goes to the place where you popped into the world and spent the subsequent years trying to grow up. To celebrate one particular area of London a team of volunteers have compiled an oral history of Holloway Road with the people who were born and bred there, and still often potter around. With interviews and photos of 46 people aged between 11 and 86-years-old, the project ‘Born and Bred’ (on display now at the Old Fire Station) provides a colourful and varied account of life in and around the Islington community.
