Have a Pig’s Ear in Clapton at the CAMRA festival

Round Chapel Clapton

Pig’s ear? That’s beer to you and me, and the beer and brewing rennaisance in London may just have reached its zenith. In the last year, five breweries have settled in Hackney alone (Beavertown, Crate, Howling Hops, Hackney and London Fields) – and you’ll be able to sample their wares at this brew fest put on by the East London and City branch of CAMRA on December 4-8. Taking place at the Round Chapel in Clapton, it’s not just Hackney’s finest that’s on offer – there will also be real ales from many other of London’s breweries such as Redemption Brewery in Tottenham and East London Brewery in Leyton, plus a fair few from further afield (110 breweries in total). Don’t despair if you’re not a fan of the hops and malt, as there’s easy rider glider (cider) too, and a few food stalls to soak it all up. If you’re not in the area already, you might just want to hop on the Uncle Gus and head over to Hackney for this one.

Tickets on the door £4, or £2 for CAMRA members. Keep up to date with the preparations via @pigsearcamra or facebook.com/camra.elac.
