You’d have thought that ‘Sherlock’ fans would have a decent grasp of elementary logic. Apparently not, judging by this makeshift phonebox shrine to Benedict Cumberbatch’s updated portrayal of Mr Holmes. It’s located outside St Bart’s hospital, which is where the detective fell to his death in the series finale. Except that, actually, as the final twist of the show revealed, he survived. So this memorial seems slightly pointless. But with tribute messages including ‘I believe in Conan Doyle. Conan Doyle believed in Fairies’, perhaps it isn’t meant to be entirely serious.
