What the duck? Giant bath toy sails down the Thames
Commuters travelling near the river this morning were left wondering if they’d had something slipped into their Weetabix, as a giant rubber duck casually paddled down the Thames. At first we thought the jumbo bath toy may have been courtesy of Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, known for bringing oversized animal sculptures to some of the world’s biggest cities, but it turns out the massive duck is the work of online bingo company Jackpotjoy. According to their Twitter page, the 50ft Jackpotjoy Duck has been deployed in an effort to cheer up the nation. You can follow the progress of the duck at #jackpotjoyduck on Twitter.
