Harry Hill’s surreal artistic creations
You may be well aware of his penchant for wearing over sized collars, chats with Stoofer and Tim the Tiny Horse, but do you know about comedian Harry Hill’s excellent oil painting skills? Yep, that’s right, Harry Hill is a dab hand with a paint brush and has captured a crazy likeness of silver fox Phillip Schofield, Vanessa Feltz, Bruce Forsyth and some of the lucky Royals. Now fans of his brushwork can buy a box set of his postcards at the Hayward Gallery’s latest incarnation of This Is Not A Pop Up: Polite as part of the South Bank Centre’s Winter Festival. For their 12th birthday, Polite (who publish cool stuff with designs by leading artists) are launching 12 new products including these Harry Hill creations. Other stuff includes postcard sets from David Shrigley, Balloon toy cards by Studio Thomson and a box set of classic Factory graphics and design by Peter Saville and Jon Savage. Pop in before January 11.
