A Room for London sails on into 2013
You’ve probably seen the incongruous boat marooned on the roof of the Queen Elizabeth Hall since January 2012 but only a fortunate few actually got the chance to spend a night on board the comfy cabin. We even couldn’t get in there! But don’t worry if you weren’t one of the lucky ones this year, as this week it was announced that due to popular demand A Room for London will keep floating above the Thames for another year. Any landlubbers who wants to stay over will be able to bid for a room via ballots throughout the year. If you’re hoping to stay in January or February, the first ballot is now open; enter before midnight on December 19. A stay will cost you £300 for a room for two: a small (ok, medium) price to pay for a once in a life time evening.
