Unleash your inner pig at this Dalston porky pop-up

Posted at 12:30 pm, January 15, 2013 in Food & Drink

There’s nothing a Dalston hipster likes more than a dish of porky goodness – seasonal, locally sourced and traceable, of course. At least, that’s what the Pig Club are hoping, as they launch their ‘countryside pop-up’ later this month at the Dead Dolls Club in east London. Chefs Fabiana Reis (from Islington’s organic gastropub the Duke of Cambridge) and Ramiro Gasparotto (from Fortnum & Mason restaurant) are promising a night of rustic yet elegant cooking involving slow-roast pork belly and vegetables from ‘growing communities’ in Kent and Essex. Sidney and Percy provide the live performance element of the evening – presumably Pinky and Perky weren’t available. Only a limited number of tickets are available, but lovers of found foodstuffs should enjoy the Dead Dolls Club’s regular menu, which features ingredients sourced by Hertfordshire-based duo the ForagersCathy Phillips

January 22, 7pm The Dead Dolls Club, 428 Kingsland Road, E8 4AA, £30 per person, booking essential from wegottickets.com.
