Hot Dog! Sausage Dog Café to open in Brixton
2012 saw the rise of the hot dog but 2013 will see another sort of sausage hit a local café near you. At the beginning of the month, we told you about Lauren Pears’s proposed ‘Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium’ in east London and as if that wasn’t exciting enough already, it’s time to get ready for the cutest battle London has ever seen; a rival sausage dog café is in the pipeline. Yes, readers. We did say SAUSAGE DOG CAFÉ. Co-Founder Emilie Harley has created a crowd-funding page to raise £55,000 in the hopes to open a dog lovers’ haven in Brixton. With plans to have a knitting corner, opportunities to walk the pups and all the tasty treats you’d expect, it’ll be the perfect hound haunt to whittle away an afternoon. So if you want to help some bitches out, head over to indiegogo now and make a donation. Carly-Ann Clements
And if, like us, your initial thoughts are ‘why sausage dogs?’, we have the answer:
They’re super friendly and just want someone to play with:
But worst case scenario they can just entertain themselves:
I mean, even simple things please them:
But above all, they love music:
And dancing:
But sometimes, just sometimes, they really need some love:
So badly, they’ll even let Noel Fielding dress them up:
They make great cake toppers:
And sandwich fillings:
Nah, we’re only joking, though they do look better than some of the hot dogs we’ve tried:
But they don’t like dressing like unicorns:
And prefer to play dead. What’s up with that?:
But most of all, they’re super cute. Look at that face:
