Come on folks, own up. Are you a bit of a TV chef groupie? Do you lie in on the weekend, snuggled up under the duvet as you wait for ‘Saturday Kitchen’ to come on on the telly? Are episodes of ‘MasterChef’ clogging up your Sky box? Well, you’re in for a treat. The people at Cactus TV (the production company behind ‘Saturday Kitchen’ and a few other cookery shows) have, in partnership with Michel Roux Jr, launched a specialist cookery school. Called Cactus Kitchens, obviously. The site has been kitted out with brand-spanking new teaching kitchens in an as-yet-unnamed ‘central London location’. But, most importantly (if you’re a TV chef groupie), you can get a cookery lesson from the likes of Ken Hom, Michel Roux and Adam Byatt, not to mention a ‘Saturday Kitchen’ experience with whichever guest chef they are filming that week. The ‘surprise’ location just adds to the excitement, we think. Just don’t forget to bring a white apron for autographs. Tania Ballantine
