You know what contemporary art needs more of? Blowjobs. And anal sex. Oh and a sense of creeping dread. Three things that Bruce Nauman’s show at Hauser & Wirth has in abundance. The veteran American artist, and pioneer of conceptual and performance art, isn’t the subtlest of artists. Works like ‘Sex And Death/Double 69’, with its flashing neon mutual mouth sex, are wonderfully confrontational examples of his obsession with poking at the boundaries of human behaviour. It’s not all for shock value though, there’s real power in these pieces, and they go a long way towards showing why he’s so been important and influential. Eddy Frankel
