London’s Air Ambulance reveals new look helicopter

Posted at 10:00 am, February 19, 2013 in News

Someone’s had a makeover just in time for London Fashion Week. London’s Air Ambulance has come back from its annual service with a sexy new look, complete with emergency markings and a changing message on the tail boom which details the number of critical missions attended by the medical team.

The helicopter delivers a team that performs life-saving procedures on scene, and contrary to popular belief London’s Air Ambulance is not government funded but is an independent charity. Although they receive a sizeable contribution from the NHS, they rely heavily on donations from organisations and individuals. We are the only capital city in the world that has just one helicopter for its air ambulance service and funds are currently being raised for a second one.
