We’ve all moved on from thinking that sherry is something your gran drinks at Christmas. Or have we? Whether you don’t have the foggiest about sherry (but want to get in on the action), or are a smug ‘I’ve-appreciated-sherry-for-ages-dahling’ type, the up-coming series of ‘sherry nights’, hosted by the City branch of tapas restaurant Camino, is a date for the diary. Kicking off at 6pm with a glass of fizz, award-winning wine writer Jane Parkinson will then lead you on a romp through various different sherries, where you’ll sample a range of producers and styles from the ultra-dry, refreshing Fino to the rich and more-ish Oloroso, each of which will also come with tapas tailored to match.
Monday March 11 and Monday March 25, 6-7.30pm. Tickets cost £25 per person and include a glass of fizz, sherry and tapas, plus a discount to dine at Camino. For more info or to book, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
