Like food? Not so keen on the calories? Then get yourselves over to Steam, a ‘calorie-neutral’ restaurant opening for one day only on Wednesday 13 March. The pop-up comes courtesy of Miele, the high-tech kitchen equipment makers, who are promoting a range of steam-cooking appliances. Whether you’re in the market for shiny new gadgetry or just curious, the cooking promises to be supremely healthy: calorie-neutral food is the type that burns as many calories as it contains. The menu is still under wraps, but given that dishes are being created by Boundary chef Fred Forster, we’re pretty certain it won’t be all raw carrots. That, or they’ll be making you go for a run around the block before you’re allowed to tuck in. Either way, what have you got to lose (but a few pounds)? Tania Ballantine
