What with all the Tube’s 150th anniversary celebrations, it would be easy to forget all about the humble bus. However, today is a big day for our double deckers as it was one year ago today that Boris’s curvy routemaster hit the streets. There are now eight of the new designs cruising along the 38 route across town from Victoria to Clapton and according to the Mayor, the 24 route is the next to get the ‘Boris Bus’, with plans to introduce 600 to the capital by 2016.
