Free Monday night film club: Italian Special

Posted at 6:30 pm, March 3, 2013 in Arts & Entertainment

This Monday, the Exploding Head Film Club heads to the Old Queen’s Head in Islington for a hearty double helping of Italian delicacies. As an antipasto, folk angel Emma Tricca will entrance the crowd with her remarkable voice and haunting songs. Then for the main course, a screening of horror icon Lucio Fulci’s crazed 1971 psychedelic slasher, ‘A Lizard in a Woman’s Skin’. Made by Italians but shot entirely in London, the film is a kaleidoscopic look at our city in the swinging era, replete with murderous hippies, hazy drug trips, scenes shot in the rusted-out shell of Alexandra Palace and a suitably off-kilter score by the great Ennio Morricone.

For more info on this free event see their Facebook page and keep an eye on Time Out’s film events page  for all the latest London-based film fun.
