London Underground Penguin books

We all have a favourite tube line influenced by commutes, meetings and memories. To continue the Tube’s 150th anniversary, Penguin asked 12 authors for their city stories, each inspired by a different Tube line. There’s anxiety on the Northern, a history of capitalism on the Jubilee, family relations on the Circle Line and lots more. We’ve been excited about these enchanting micro London tales since we first heard they were happening, so are now pleased to announce that they’ve been published today and should be on sale in the London Transport Museum shop and other good bookstores. Each comes in a classic TfL colour; read them as a complete set or go straight for your favorite line and find out how it inspires others.
