Not content with headlining a day each of Wireless (both of which are pretty much sold out), hip-hop-pop juggernauts Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are taking over the festival’s newly added third day with a preview of their North American ‘Legends of Summer’ tour. Ke$ha, Wretch 32, Conor Maynard, Bingo Players and Iggy Azalea are the latest acts down to join the support for trouser-snaking Timberlake’s solo show on Friday July 12, while Jay-Z has reeled in new dance talents Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Flux Pavilion and Zedd for his day on Saturday July 13, which also features Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora and Kendrick Lamar. If that wasn’t enough, when the stadium-smashing twosome team up on Sunday July 14, they’ll be bringing hip hop founding fathers A Tribe Called Quest, plus Nas, A$AP Rocky and Rizzle Kicks along for the ride. Legends of summer, indeed.
Tickets for Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s July 14 date, as well as three-day passes, go on sale on Friday March 15 at 9am. For info, see Wireless Festival listing.
