Grape expectations: March’s best events for wine-lovers

Posted at 6:15 pm, March 16, 2013 in Food & Drink

March is a particularly good month for wine-lovers. From tasting sessions and Georgian wine dinners to a new south London wine club, there’s plenty going on. Head down to The Real Wine Fair at Tobacco Dock in Wapping to explore organic, bio-dynamic and natural wines on March 17 (tickets £15 in advance, £20 on the door). As well as having the opportunity to sample the wines of 120 artisanal winemakers, you’ll also get the chance to attend seminars and masterclasses by some of the producers. In addition to sipping there is also supping to be done with snacks from Zucca, Ducksoup, E5 Bakehouse and others. In conjunction with the fair, the restaurant and wine bar Terroirs will be showcasing Georgian foods and wines on March 19 at their multi-course feast (£55 per person). If you happen to live near Hither Green, there’s also a brand new wine club starting up this month – get more details here. Guy Dimond
