Singing grannies take over Trafalgar Square for Russian Spring Festival of Maslenitsa
There will be blinis a go-go today (March 16) as Trafalgar Square channels Red Square for the Russian Spring Festival of Maslenitsa. There’s loads of Russian grub to try out, alongside authentic handicrafts and a whole host of musical entertainment. We are particularly looking forward to The Singing Grannies, the Russian answer to Jedward who represented their nation at Eurovision last year. Other artists on the line up include the hyped Bis-Quit Quartet, soul artist Petr Nalich and rockers Smyslovye Galuzinazii. Adam Bloodworth
