Last night, the rumour mill came to a grinding halt as this year’s Glastonbury festival line-up was announced. Save your gasps and ‘OMG’s for a later date, however, as the pre-Glasto gossip proved correct with The Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys revealed as 2013’s headline acts. But where’s Fleetwood Mac, you ask? Or Prince? Or the token urban superstar of recent years? We had our money on Timberlake bringing sexy to Somerset.
This year’s festival line-up is looking a little more traditional, what with the likes of Mumford & Sons, Primal Scream, Elvis Costello and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds all setting up camp on the main stage. Dizzee Rascal, Azealia Banks and Rita Ora will be bringing the bitches ‘n’ bling to Pilton Farm this June, whilst indie rock fans will rejoice at the sight of Vampire Weekend, Django Django and Foals also on the bill.
Our dreams of Stevie Nicks and JT dirty dancing whilst they duet on ‘Señorita’ may be shattered for another year, but you can sure count on four aging rockers to let the good times roll this summer.
