Hitch a ride at the Southbank Centre as Iconic Rickshaws hit the town

Posted at 10:15 am, April 14, 2013 in Arts & Entertainment, Transport

These aren’t the techno-blaring, LED-lit rickshaws you encounter while weaving around buses on Oxford Street. These are Iconic Rickshaws for Relief that have been designed by Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, artist Zoobs and luxury designer Bareeze to name but a few. The fleet, presented by the Qismat Trust, have just returned to London after a world wide trip where they have been raising awareness for the adversities faced by disadvantaged communities in developing countries and will be on display at the Southbank Centre’s Outside spaces until April 21.
