A new artist has made us feel a little differently about woollen fibres recently. We’re bored with all this lace and cotton stuff. It’s time to go back to ye old faithful, and explore the way we all felt, for, erm, felt. Lucy Sparrow has been felting for some time now, creating everything from a traditional London phone box to a Ploughmans sandwich. We’ve been gazing in utter bliss at her felt Babybel replica for the past 20 minutes or so now. You need to see the pieces up close to really appreciate them and luckily you can as an exhibition of her work opens tonight at the W3 Gallery (until June 1) showcasing a hodgepodge of London’s most treasured icons. Get an idea of some of her work below. Trust us: you’ve never felt like this before.
