Always hoped for a sequel to ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time‘? Fancy schmoozing with London’s favourite luvvies? Well, you’re in luck.
After emerging victorious from the Oliviers with a whopping seven awards, the team behind the stage version of ‘The Curious Incident…’ have announced they will be hosting a star-studded gala night in aid of autism charities Ambitious about Autism and The National Autistic Society.
Not just any gala: playwright Simon Stephens, author of the original book Mark Haddon, and star of the show Luke Treadaway have joined forces to create a new detective story for Treadaway’s character Christopher Boone that’ll receive a one off performance on July 1. AND THAT’S NOT ALL. Ben Whishaw will be starring with Matt Smith and Helen Mirren in an exclusive film shown as part of the new story. Meanwhile Bat for Lashes will be performing and Simon Amstell entertaining. There will be so many famous people in the room, your eyes might just fall out. Tickets for the night at the Apollo theatre in the West End range from top price (£500 – complete with champagne, darling) to a very reasonable £25.
