Party like an animal at the mane event of the season – a night out that invites enough puns to give Tim Vine a heart attack. That’s right, Zoo Lates is back – and this year it’s got added bite (and is, presumably, a roaring good time). There’s a silent disco, talk, cabaret, an incredibly short film festival, face-painting, a wine bar, over 17,000 animals, plenty of street food stands and it will run every Friday night in June and July.
So what goes on after hours? Not pilates for a start…
Only just realised that #zoolates is Zoo Lates and not zoolates as in pilates-with-animals.

Basically, it’s a chance to get crunk with animal celebs like Tammy the tree-climbing anteater (above), who this year will have a personal chaperone as she roams her enclosure. You might also meet:
Marilyn the sloth (who we assume looks like this)
The penguin posse
And your new Sumatran Tiger friends Jae Jae and Melati.
What up Jae Jae?
