‘I got this new strategy. It’s called no strategy.’ This was Kanye West’s manifesto when premiered his new album, modestly titled ‘Yeezus’, in New York on Monday. Time Out was there to hear it for the first time. Rave beats, new wave influences and guest production from Daft Punk have actually helped Kanye make his most human album yet. The rapper and producer’s sixth solo LP out on June 18 makes clear that he really does love Kim Kardashian (in the physical sense too). And yes, West is saying he’s a sort of god – albeit with the petulance of a toddler.
