It may only be June, but boy has 2013 already been a great year for music. So far we’ve seen the unexpected return of Bowie after a ten-year hiatus, witnessed the rise of Surrey-raised dance music-producing brothers Disclosure and hoorayed the return of R’n’B’s slickest mover and shaker, Justin Timberlake, to the charts. So, before January’s gems are long forgotten, and before the race for this year’s Christmas No.1 creeps up on us, the Time Out Music team have looked back and rounded up their top twenty records of the past six months.
Check out our countdown of 2013’s best releases so far and be sure to plug in to each and every album – they’re all damn good. Trust us. If you think we’ve missed off a masterpiece (sorry, Olly Murs and Snoop Lion were snipped at the last minute), vote for your fave in our poll.
