Prodijig, Footstorm

Want to take your love affair with dance further than a Saturday night slumped in front the TV? Then why not catch fleet-footed ‘Got to Dance’ alumni Prodijig who’ll be leaping into London’s Peacock Theatre this week? The Irish dancers have turned their TV talent show winning moves into a full-length extravaganza, ‘Footstorm’ which sees  visionary choreographer Alan Kenefick expand his two-minute TV routines into a full-blown epic sci-fi tinged show.

He promises ‘a love story set between two worlds’ and reports so far suggest that a medley of exaggerated visuals and incredible dancing are sure to enthral their legions of fans. So it should do. Most of the performers are ex-Riverdancers who decided it was high time to drag Irish dancing into the twenty-first century. Michael Flatley: the jig is up!
