Gin o’clock at the Tate Modern’s Botanical Bar

Tate Modern Botanical Bar

After a stroll along the south bank or some vigorous art action at the Tate Modern, swing by Sumner Street behind the museum for a refreshing beverage or two at the Botanical Bar which opens today (until September 28). Tucked inside the ‘Skirt of the Black Mouth’, an ominously named but altogether more pleasant pop-up installation out the back of the Tate,  Something & Son have used 3D printing to create an alfresco baroque bar serving up some mean and very on-trend gin cocktails. They’ve brought in one of our favourite London micro-distilleries Sacred to produce some bespoke blended gins which you’ll be able to sup on every Thursday to Saturday evening (5-9pm), with the addition of DJs and performers on Thursdays as part of the Merge Festival. Bottoms up.
