Today is the day to rise up and embrace your secret superpowers; for one day only the Huawei Superpowers Symposium is inviting London’s hidden heroes to throw off the cloak of night and step out in the open.
There will be talks from real life superheroes Phoenix Jones and Purple Reign (from the Real Life Superheroes Movement), as well as discussions on the super technology that could actually advance the realm of human powers. A photographic exhibition by Peter Tangen will document real life superheroes on film, and a lecture on Real Life Superheroes in Modern Society, by Goldsmiths’ Dr Gavin Weston, will convert any sceptics still remaining. Hardcore superhero fans will even be treated to the chance to watch unseen footage from Michael Barnett’s HBO ‘Superheroes’ documentary.
With super food juices by Morgaine Gaye, custom-made super suits, and the Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co at hand, this not-so-secret lair is perfect place to get kitted out to run, web, climb, or ride with the best.
The Huawei Superpowers Symposium is free and will take place between 11.30am – 10.30pm in Bethnal Green Road. To book your place email firstname.lastname@example.org
