Kitten found on underground train

The Tube is a cornucopia of lost items. From umbrellas to mobile phones to taxidermy; you never know what you’re going to find down there. However, even the knowledge that anything and everything can be found in London’s favourite home of curiosities couldn’t prepare the staff at Victoria Station for what was handed in. On Monday July 8, a tiny ball of black fluff was found at the central London station covered in a sticky substance and with no sign of any companions. The tiny, four-week old kitten – that has now been called Victoria – was taken to the charity Blue Cross, cleaned up by veterinary nurses and is now receiving round the clock care. How she ended up in the station without her mother or any sign of littermates is still unknown but we do know that little Victoria is doing well and has a bright future ahead of her.
