The Whitecross Street Festival refuses to conform with London’s norm

For every piece of fresh and vibrant creativity, there is a drab grey piece of mediocrity which lingers in its shadow. Well not the Whitecross Street Festival’s ‘The Rise of the Non-Conformists’ two-day weekender on July 20-21. Returning for its fourth year, the street arts festival is back to blow your average conformist Joe out of the luke warm water and celebrate all that’s creatively alternative. The festival is welcoming all ages to come and join its community surroundings, with live music, food, and 30 artists exhibiting work. For those who want to breakout from their shackles, there are also drumming workshops, dancing and street theatre. Past years have featured a 12ft-high giant white bone, giant space monsters protruding from buildings and an 1984 Orwell-esque CCTV camera. Get involved.
