A pioneering scheme called Donate will enable Londoners to give money to save specific artworks that need restoring or projects seeking funding, using their mobiles. For example, a gallery might flag up a painting that needs a bit of TLC. If you love the work, you can give cash for its conservation (rather than the gallery as a whole) on the spot. Causes seeking help include the conservation of Freud’s collection of antiquities at the Freud Museum, and costumes and wigs at the Almeida Theatre. Be generous: London’s arts need you! Rebecca Taylor
