Since Pitt Cue Co’s truck parked up on the South Bank in 2011, there’s been no end of stoking, coking and poking happening at restaurants and street stalls across the Capital. From pit-roasted pork to bar-marked burgers, American dude food is big business these days. And with the New York food festival Meatopia rolling in to town in September, it just got even bigger. On September 7, the festival from the Big Apple will be getting the coals smoking at Tobacco Dock in Wapping with a day of barbecue and music. Sample dishes from some of London’s most respected meat enthusiasts – including St John’s Fergus Henderson, Pitt Cue’s Tom Adams and Hawksmoor’s Richard H Turner, plus more from across the pond.
Sep 7 noon-9pm (food 1-7pm), Tobacco Dock, Shadwell. Tickets from £45 – book now to avoid disappointment.
