The disused Brompton Road underground station in Knightsbridge, which was used as a secret command centre by Winston Churchill in World War II, is up for sale. It closed in 1934 and since the war has been owned by the Ministry of Defence, which hopes to sell the site for more than £20 million. What will you get for your cash? The property includes a drill hall, mess and tunnels. One thing to note: TfL owns the platforms and has sealed them off – just in case would-be buyers are hoping to beat the rush hour crush.
