There are plenty of lazy days left to be had this summer, especially now that our favourite botanical gardens are giving away cheeky cheap afternoon entry. Nature-lovers can take advantage of the discounted adult tickets (reduced from £14.50 to £7), any time after 3.30pm throughout August, and up until September 8 (entry is free for kids 16 and under). It’s the perfect chance to go check out their IncrEdibles festival, complete with Bompas & Parr’s giant golden floating musical pineapple (see above – hopefully on a sunnier day than when I went) and psychedelic fruit salad boating lake and to have a stroll around the 300 acres of landscape in all their summer glory.

Book tickets at Kew.org and find out more about IncrEdibles.
