Calling all Lego-loving Londoners! The Royal Academy cordially invites you to engage in a beautiful union of landmark-inspired model-making this Sunday at ‘Family Studio: From the Ground up’. The free workshop is part of the Richard Rogers Inside Out Restrospective, and is open to small and big (adult) kids alike. It will feature a super-scale Thames upon which you’ll be able to build Tower Bridge, stack up the SouthBank and reconstruct Canary Wharf. With 70,000 lovely Lego bricks at hand, you will have a chance to really flout your architectural panache, recreating the iconic London skyline, and even design a few new buildings of your own. We already have the Gherkin and the Cheesegrater, how about designing ‘the Loaf’ and making a proper packed lunch of it? Kitty Knowles

Family Studio: From the Ground up takes place at The Royal Academy, Piccadilly, on August 11, 11am-2pm.
